Additional Notes 'The original General Post Office Brisbane of stone and brick was two small rooms which had been a portion of the quarters built in 1829-30 and previously occupied by the Superintendent of Convicts. It had a frontage of approximately 30 feet to Queen Street.'http://www.brisbanehistory.com/general_post_office.html The Brisbane GPO is of a complex of five interconnected buildings included on the Commonwealth Heritage List located between Queen and Elizabeth Streets in the Brisbane CBD.
